Patient outcome dashboard for diabetes patients based on cholesterol (box size) and Hba1c (box colour) levels for all patients, grouped by physician enabling problem areas to be quickly identified and best practice captured.
InforSense have worked with Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) to build an executive patient outcomes dashboard to allow the status of diabetes, breast cancer and pancreatic cancer to be assessed at a glance 24/7 via interactive web pages. Each patient is grouped by physician and the intuitive display immediately identifies areas of concern based on HEDIS metrics associated with each disease area. Users can drill down into more detailed data such as blood pressure results to investigate patients with poor scores. By enabling management and physicians to view the status of patients across all providers in the WRAMC group levels of care and outcomes can be carefully monitored and improved, areas of best practice captured, and potential problems avoided.
Data is taken from a number of disparate data sources via on-the-fly queries against an Intersystems Cache patient database, Oracle data warehouse and Excel files. Results are embedded in an Oracle OBIEE portal interface to allow standardised access to the data via a secure interface.
NorDx Labs, part of Maine Health, has used InforSense to build an automated billing system that sends out invoices for 50,000 tests per month to respective payers and also supports a payer portal to provide on-line access to test results. Data is extracted from legacy SCC and Cache data sources and invoices distributed automatically every month. These portals are also being used by employers as part of employee wellness programs to watch for and predict potential health problems. InforSense has also been used to do ad-hoc analysis of payments and to assess invoice reimbursements to identy profitable areas and payers who are underpaying significantly against expectations. These business critical systems have been implemented in a very short period of time and with minimal resources.
