VIRTUAL MACHINE

High Performance, Embeddable Analytics Engine

The InforSense Virtual Machine is a powerful tool for embedding InforSense’s analytical workflow technology into third party applications, with minimal footprint. With the Virtual Machine, users can:

  • Run analytical workflows in any execution environment
  • Update embedded workflows on the fly, with no down time
  • Easily schedule workflow executions for any portion of the workflow
  • Pre-load workflows and execute them multiple times continuously

The InforSense Virtual Machine (IVM) is a lightweight, standalone workflow execution engine that can be used to run workflows in any environment including workstations, servers, embedded systems and mobile devices. Because of its small footprint, the IVM is effortlessly installed and simple to maintain, eliminating the complexity typically found with traditional software installations.

Workflows can be built and tested using the InforSense Platform and Workflow Builder, benefiting from a centrally managed environment. These workflows can then be deployed to the IVM and embedded within your enterprise or desktop environment.

The InforSense Virtual Machine enables many types of applications, including:

Embedded Data Analysis - Workflows that retrieve and analyze data can be easily integrated into third-party applications and analysis tools such as Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS), Medical devices and CRM applications.

Real-Time Scoring - Predictive analytical workflows can be created to apply a data mining model to data to predict a “score” in real-time.  Scores can be used to drive operational business decisions and can be as simple as a value that describes the risk class associated with a customer, such as credit risk, or as complex as predicting the lifetime value of a customer.

Clustered Workflow Execution – InforSense Virtual Machine can form a Grid engine to execute CPU-intensive analytical workflows over large scale data sets.

The architecture of the IVM includes access to the full set of InforSense workflow components and a library of workflows authored using the InforSense Workflow Builder. The workflow executions are embedded into other applications, using a Java, COM/.NET, Command Line or Web Service API.

The IVM enables command line execution so that they can be easily scheduled using any job submission and scheduling system. These executions can also be triggered from any client, portal or server-based application and for any portion of the workflow.
