WORKFLOW LIBRARY

The InforSense Workflow Library is a secure collaborative environment for storing and sharing workflows developed internally. Instead of storing workflows in individual user spaces, they are stored centrally in the Workflow Library where they are easily accessible to other users within the organization. As a reference library for workflows, it facilitates collaboration by allowing users working in the same or similar fields to share best practices.

The Workflow Library provides a single front end that enables organizations to manage their scientific and business analytical processes. Because it is possible to store any type of data as attachments within the Workflow Library, all workflows, discussions, and other information related to your InforSense 5.0 implementation are consolidated in a single location. In addition, all published workflows from the InforSense Customer Hub can be automatically downloaded to ensure developers have the most up to date knowledge available.

When new applications are being developed users can see how previous tools have been constructed and follow established best practices. The Workflow Library encourages collaboration and re-use of workflows by making them easy to find and use, and helps to foster a developer community within the company.

• Workflow pages are versioned ensuring there is a past record of updates and modifications and that users can identify differences between versions
• Workflows are organized by scientific or business area but can be modified to reflect other organizational structures
• Workflows are accessed via a role-based web-interface that supports secure access to defined user groups, including access via the company’s own LDAP or Active Directory services
• The Workflow Library can be integrated into an existing e-room environment, further enhancing its collaborative capabilities
• Usage data and new additions to the library are highlighted on the start-up page
