A Primer on InforSense Technology
Historically, business intelligence (BI) has been about bringing data to the analyst. Analysis could only be performed with specialized business intelligence tools, specialized data sources called data warehouses and specialized skills to be able to design and use business intelligence systems. Instead of bringing the data to the analysts, InforSense provides software that enables enterprises to bring the analysis to the data. The solution is simple: data originates and resides in your existing business systems and processes. That´s where the analysis belongs. In this white paper you´ll learn about the key functionalities of the InforSense platform, including:
Dynamic data and application integration
In-database processing
Interactive analytical workflows
Predictive analytics, data mining and text mining
Enterprise deployment and reporting

Gaining insight into your credit risk
The use of analytics to address credit problems has gained strong momentum in many world leading commercial banks over the last few decades. Risk management techniques can be applied to a variety of activities, including application approval, limit setting, credit alerting, capital adequacy, and risk-based pricing. Credit analysis must be an ongoing process, as it is fundamental to the success and even survival of the bank. In addition, the International Basel II regulation requires each bank using the advanced ratings based method to develop a strong internal competence around credit modeling - it cannot be outsourced.
To use analytics competitively in their business activities, organizations must have high quality data, in-house quantitative and analytical expertise, and a capable technology environment for developing, managing and deploying the analytics across the enterprise. In this paper we focus on the last point and describe how InforSense can help improve a bank´s credit analysis performance.

Introducing InforSense Siebel Edition
In the past decade, organizations have embraced CRM solutions such as Siebel as a way to improve customer-related business processes, including sales, marketing and customer service. These investments have created an extremely valuable data source in the form of CRM databases. However, many organizations have had a difficult time effectively deriving intelligence from that data, resulting in lower-than-expected ROI from their CRM systems. This paper describes how InforSense extends Siebel Customer Relationship Management with data mining functions that provide advanced customer intelligence from within applications like Siebel Marketing and Siebel Contact Center. You´ll learn techniques to help you:
Identify key drivers for customer behavior to predict and minimize attrition
Find the relationships between demographics and behavior that enable successful product positioning
Reliably measure the response to campaigns and launches

Scientific Text Analytics in the Post-Google Era
Literature, in particular scientific papers, is the root source of information for life scientists. The fast rate at which new papers are published means that manual analysis and dissemination of this information is not feasible and automated means are required to extract the specific knowledge that scientists require. This paper describes how InforSense addresses this challenge by:
Providing an interactive analytical workflow environment, with a wide range of text analytics functionality, and
Deploying workflows as web based applications which have simple user interfaces but invoke the full power of the underlying workflow.

High Throughput GWAS Analysis
Genome Wide Association Studies (GWAS) are becoming more commonplace. These studies are designed to find genetic variants, or SNPs, that are correlated between Case or Control individuals. Rapid advances in genotyping technology have dramatically increased our ability to generate ever larger amounts of data. Experiments are now being planned that measure a million SNPs across tens of thousands of samples. This paper describes how InforSense has met some of the challenges that scientists must solve when faced with analyzing the results from a GWA study.

Improving Cohort Selection and Clinical Decision Making with ClinicalSense
InforSense has collaborated with leading medical institutes such as Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Erasmus Medical Center and Windber Research Institute to develop a flexible IT infrastructure for translational research applications. Teams are working in various research areas including breast diseases, multiple myeloma, gynecologic cancers and cardiovascular disease. These collaborations have produced a high-performance integrative decision-support system that is already in productive use by both clinicians and researchers. It has also resulted in a new InforSense product called ClinicalSense, which is a tool for cohort selection and clinical decision making. This paper focuses on ClinicalSense and how it provides an integrated environment for subject evaluation in Cohort studies and improved clinical decision making.
