The 5 Days Analytics Insight - Workshop Details

The typical agenda for a 5 Day Analytical Insight workshop is:

• Pre Setup – ideally done before Insight: Send example data model(s )– preferably with a data dictionary to create a preloaded InforSense system  on separate, isolated, seminar network
• Setup & Configuration (1/2 day)  Validate the setup, configuration and connectivity of the data mining server and supporting tools
• Business Problem Identification (1/2 day)  Demonstrate how to map business problems to the data mining methodology
• Data Acquisition & Data Organization (1 day) Demonstrate how to identify the most appropriate data for data mining applications. Discuss best-practices in binning and profiling source data. Discuss & demonstrate approaches in preparing data in a transactional vs. non-transactional format
• Data Mining Model Construction (2 days) Demonstrate the use of InforSense Workflow Builder  to construct the appropriate data mining models. Demonstrate testing the data mining model. Discuss & demonstrate how to interpret the result sets from the data mining model. Discuss & demonstrate how to refine the data mining model based on result sets. Generate & score data set
• Integration (1/2 day) Discuss best practices on how data is integrated into existing applications for reporting and analysis. Discuss the value of historical result sets over time & how they can be leveraged to drive future business decisions
• Process Automation & Future Model Refinement (1/2 day) Discuss best practices for process automation and how to refine data mining models over time
• Best Practices/Knowledge Transfer (continuing all 5 days) Participate in summary discussion that focuses on the full data mining lifecycle best practices of the data mining lifecycle including the use of other data mining techniques/algorithms to solve business problems
