Embedding intelligence derived from patient medical records that have been collected from clinical trials or clinical practice into Healthcare Decision Support applications requires patient oriented tools.

Patient medical records are unique as they have both a longitudinal record of events and test results and a much larger number of attributes to be considered compared with typical business intelligence and reporting problems.

InforSense's Healthcare Decision Support Framework handles patient records as first class entities, thus enabling clinical practitioners to stratify and select groups of patients that are similar to each other based on their clinical records.

Groups of patients can be defined using aggregate statistics about clinical attributes and further refined by comparing and synchronizing time lines or medical records. Built on top of this patient-centric view are applications for:
